Another great platform that many business owners choose to skip. Just as Pinterest, this is a platform where you can grow quickly.
I personally know people that made thousands of dollars per month in less than three months of being on the platform, with under 4ooo followers. Regardless of if you want to monetize your Twitter account, or to bring more people to your website and create brand awareness, this is the place to be in 2021 and beyond.

On Twitter, the most important part is to show you know what you are talking about. We’ll do that through different tactics, but you have to take every step if you want your presence on this platform to be a successful one.
Actions you must take if you want Twitter success
By success we mean getting new followers daily, having high engagement and website clicks. We like to think of it as a tunnel. You lure people in, they end up on your account and decide to follow. Then, they decide to not only stay but also engage with your content and even purchase your offers.
Here’s how you do that:
The first thing you have to do is find other successful people in your niche and analyze their engagement rate. If they have thousands of followers but barely any likes or comments, stay away from them. Usually, if they have over 1000 they should have at least a few comments and a minimum of 10% (of their number of followers) likes.
Pick around 100 people in your niche and follow them. For the first month, we advise you to focus on engaging with other people’s content. You’ll have to spend quite some time on this app but it’s worth it! Our tip is to have notifications turned on for some of those 100 people and respond to their tweets as soon as they posted.
You’ll have more chances to attract new followers this way because every person that will engage with their tweet will most probably also see your comment.
This takes us to the second step which is to offer value. People won’t be interested to know more unless they sense that you have something to offer. That’s why you must put some work in every time you write a comment and make sure you are being helpful. Show people you know what you are talking about, and they’ll want more from you.
Try to comment at least 20 times per day and soon enough you’ll see great results. Here’s one of our first comments on the platform. We will not reveal the actual comment, but you can see the great engagement it had. 32 link clicks and six profile clicks.
For the next picture I have to mention that we were just starting out, as you can see, we had 9 tweets in that period. And with those alone, we got 1,826 impressions and 48 profile visits. I hope you now see just how valuable Twitter is.
Your account won’t grow if you only leave great comments though, as I mentioned, this should be seen as a tunnel. Once people end up on your account, you must make them want to stay. Our advice is to create a highly valuable thread and pin it as your first tweet. This way, every time someone ends up on your profile, they’ll read that thread.
You should make sure to offer as much free value as possible without giving the juicy part, in case you want to monetize it later. Depending on your niche, you should raise a problem and give the solution. For example, if your niche is how to make money online, then you should give a few tips and even tell a story of how YOU managed to make money online. People will recognize your skills and follow you for more.
Once you get to around 500 followers it’s time to put more time into engaging with them. Try to post more tweets where you continue to offer value and post at least one thread per week. Answer to your comments and engage with your audience, create a bond between you and them.
How to bring traffic to your website with Twitter
It’s important to mention that it doesn’t have to be your website. Maybe you have an e-book on Gumroad and want to get more people to buy it. Or maybe you have a blog and want more traffic. It works for any type of offer.
First and foremost, make sure to have your main website destination as a link in your bio. If you sell more e-books on Gumroad, have a link to your offers. If you own a blog, post a link to your highest performing article.
You shouldn’t skip adding links to your threads. If you mention how you made money with a certain business idea and have an e-book or article about it, link it with a “read more about my step by step process here”.
Make sure to also add results and get personal. You don’t sell products, you sell the solution to a problem. We are all humans with real needs and emotions. If you show the results they also want, they’ll be more willing to trust you with their time and money.
How to monetize your Twitter account
You have more options when it comes to monetizing your Twitter account. The simplest one is with affiliate links. If you have bought any e-books or courses contact the seller and ask them if they have an affiliate program. You can also find great products per niche in Clickbank.com.
Make sure you are allowed to post the links directly on a social media platform. There are some programs that don’t allow that. If they don’t, simply write an article where you promote said product and promote your article on the platform.
If you are more advanced then you should also add your own products. Writing an e-book is easy and remember, you only have to know more than your customer. To create your e-book we suggest you use Grammarly.com for writing it and Canva.com for designing it. Their free versions are enough for you to create a high-quality e-book. Once you have it, upload it to Gumroad and start promoting it to your audience.
